Come Compete in the Handwashing For Life Olympics
Handwashing For Life® overcomes underwashing of hands and high-touch surfaces by integrating a series of best practices. At the Food Safety Consortium, being staged at the Schaumburg Conference Center, on December 4th & 5th, attendees will learn how to assess their hand hygiene-related risks and assemble a sustainable solution. The program is a driver to establish a culture of cleanliness, one handwash at a time.
Visitors will witness the importance of standards and are invited to participate in the Handwashing For Life Olympics, making handwash learning fun and effective. Each day a winner will be announced and awarded a copy of Dr. Hal King’s new book Food Safety Management: Implementing a Food Safety Program in a Food Retail Business, served up on a Kindle Fire HD.
ServeReady® Hands is a standard defined by operators in terms of both quality and frequency they consider safe. Measurement systems are demonstrated, including the ProGrade and MyWIN/OurWIN programs. These tools give managers better process control and serve to motivate employee compliance.
TouchReady® Surfaces is again an operator specific standard to help establish risk-based sustainable solutions. Visitors can experience the speed of ATP surface swabbing and learn how it translates to enhanced compliance.
Behavior change is Handwashing For Life’s route to lower operator risks associated with poor hand and high-touch surface cleanliness. It is a process started in the Boardroom and extending to the Dishroom.
