Handwashing For Life’s InnoCircle is a development-minded group of multidisciplinary companies willing to support each other in the innovation process. Each is focused on leveraging innovation to grow its own “clean hands” technologies. Membership in this assembly is based on the companies’ core business success and willingness to work together.
The InnoCircle plays a critical role in supporting industry innovation. Members are committed to tracking operator needs through The Handwashing Leadership Forum®. They are encouraged to participate in early discussions to explore interest and viability of new concepts.
This unique collective of independents views its membership as a form of market research, enabling it to monitor the latest wants and insights in hand hygiene. Handwashing For Life appreciates InnoCircle for the diverse technologies considered at the concept stage, particularly in testing the feasibility of prototypes.
Many promising ideas fail to develop due to misalignment with current priorities, misunderstanding, or premature rejection by line management. Handwashing For Life safeguards new concepts, ensuring they are documented and nurtured with input from its diverse InnoCircle members.
Executing a study often requires a series of innovations that serve as building blocks for future discoveries. Synergies from related innovations motivate new innovators to step forward. Handwashing For Life is currently engaged in such a scenario: An operator expressed interest in tracking Team Handwashing Compliance. The existing monitoring technologies were labor-intensive, requiring manual data collection from individual soap dispensers. In response, an InnoCircle Member suggested a Bluetooth®-enabled solution that significantly reduced research costs. This innovation made the project feasible, facilitated the identification of financial stakeholders, and expedited the pursuit of study locations.
